Social Responsibility
At Habari Logistics, we are committed to attaining corporate and responsible citizenship status by adhering to ethical and socially responsible ways of doing business in Africa and for preserving the environment in the countries where we operate for future generations.
For every project that we participate in, we use a percentage of the profits to plant more trees in the forest plantation project that we have in Budengede Luwero in Uganda. We have so far by 2015 planted a total of 42,000 trees towards the objective of offsetting our carbon footprint.
We aim to integrate our long term strategic business objectives, environment and social responsibilities into the way we conduct business on the continent. Our commitment is to reduce the impact of our missions’ participation onto the environment.
Habari Logistics is dedicated to a corporate environment that reduces and where possible eliminates the risk to the health & safety of all our employees.
One of our main corporate responsibility priorities is to give back to communities in which we operate and serve. In addition to supporting projects for our clients in Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, South Sudan, Kenya Tanzania, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Ghana, Cameroon, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the rest of Africa, we provide direct social benefits to hundreds of deserving populations in need. We continue to leverage our social commitment through doing voluntary work in local communities, and support of local orphanages and charitable organisations.
